I don't think his work as our midfield coach or as 'coaching co-ordinator' backs this up. And clearly St Kilda had reservations otherwise he would be coaching at Morrabin.
If Roos was to go we'd be better off getting in a coach from outside the existing structure with new ideas and a better grasp of the modern game.
Leigh Matthews would be my choice. By the end of next year he may make way at Brisbane to allow Vossy to take over.
Although much to Connolly's chargrin, Lethal brings unquestioned credentials and experience to the role. It would give him the possibility to win flags at 3 different clubs as coach.
And importantly for Sydney and the AFL, his profile is such that he can takeover from Roos as the face of the club in the media.
