    Micky O & Nick D

How badly do we miss these guys, Micky for his creativity, Nick for the other option. Not suggesting it would have change tonights results, but it would have been better to see some targets up front.

Would suggest LRT & Leo for the outs, but that is two defenders out for 2 forwards.

Do we now want to trade/delist Nick?

We'd be crazy to delist Nick Davis.

I know skills are under-appreciated at the Swans but he still has a lot more to offer than half of our current side.

At the Freo aftermatch, our stoppages coach said that Mickey was at least 4 weeks away from a return...that would make it week one of the finals, and his last game of the year...

I dont understand it...ND is a guy who can kick the ball, reasonably accurately for goal. So what, that he's not a chaser...he's a creative player, mercurial if you want to call him that, and theres room for both types. Id much rather Nick be there in our forward line, standing alone in the goalsquare, waving his arms furiously while the dumbos upfield kick it to Bazza with three men on him, than freezing his $#@$ off down in Canberra.

              Two points,

              1) Nick Davis is injured at the moment

              2) Plugger Lockett never chased either.

It was only defensive pressure in the forward 50 that kept us to within 10 goals last night.

The stoppages coach, aren't they all stoppages coaches.

Is he the bloke who stops interloppers getting in the door.

After watching that tripe last night the question begs, "has Nick Davis been crucified by the club".

To have to revert to Leo playing up forward makes one struggle on the whole topic of team structure or whatever.

Nick Davis got injured playing 2's.

Lockett didn't have to chase, he got the pill the first time so the bloody pigskin wasn't running out of the forward line near as much.

I would doubt Davis will be a swan next year.
Veszpremi will more than make up for that loss.

The other option to creativity is predictible selfish lack of effort?

I remember a couple of great chases and tackles from Lockett and the gys he tackled still remember as well.

                          Cheers

His chasing could be nearly lethal. He put the Gadget Man over the pickets in front of the Ladies Stand after one ferocious effort. The only thing that Davo has put over the pickets was himself after Willo (playing with a dislocated shoulder) had set up the little champs goal, and taken a hammering after delivering the pill. Davo forgot to acknowledge the great man's effort in his onanistic orgy of self congratulation.

Yeh, most chasees could hear him wheezing behind them.
