we ve just jagged ourselves into the finals

thank you carlton , you have just given our season another week.
lets see we may fluke a win next week and then get blown away in week one.
i dont think i can sit through another 2 weeks of the rubbish we have dished up since we played melbourne. that game the worrying signs started and thing spiralled downhill from there.
may as well drop the deadwoods and play the youngsters and give them finals experience as the buch that is out there wont get us anywhere past week one , maybe with a young brigade we may even get to week 2.
oh well 6 seasons of finals we cant complain , but i see a few barren yrs ahead.
oh well there was 2005 and it was good.

The Swans of 2008 may just about be the worst team to ever play finals football.

The top 8 is a disgrace......and a blatant attempt by the AFL for more money......... make it a top 5 or 6.......... 7 and 8 are making up- numbers........ we are just absolutely @@@@@@.

I wouldn't say that ... the swans of 1999 could give them a run for their money. Round 22 - thumped by Hawthorn, first week of finals - thumped by Essendon....

To get a home final now we need to beat Brissie and need at least one of the following to happen:

              1. Freo beat Collingwood at Subi; OR
              2. St Kilda beat Adelaide tomorrow in Melbourne AND also lose to Essendon next week; OR
              3. Adelaide lose to Saints tomorrow AND lose to the Doggies in Adelaide next week; OR
              4. North lose to Geelong tomorrow AND Port Adelaide at home next week.

There's also a myriad of possibilities if one of those teams involves draws.

Nah, we could never match North Melbourne last year, was it one or two 100 point drubbings?

Feisty win by Carlton, how good is that man Judd in traffic.
Good on the navy Blues for giving our youngsters something to take out of 08.

Who cares really??? These scenarios are meaningless, it wouldnt matter if we got a home final, we are gone!

The overwhelming feeling at pizza last night is that if we have to have a final at least we have have it in Melbourne. Am flying up next weekend regardless, but after that my enthusiasm for another trip is somewhat waning.

Am dreading a thought of a last minute trip to Adelaide, with their rabid feral unforgiving fans following you down the street after the game trying to rub the result in. Maybe I can develop some mystery illness or something. I SO don't want to go there.
