Pies again, could we stand the humiliation of a 2nd, 2 losses in 3 weeks against them.

[QUOTE=ugg;406859]To get a home final now we need to beat Brissie and need at least one of the following to happen:

        1. Freo beat Collingwood at Subi; OR

Freo beating the maggots out west is a real chance. O the justice of it all!

Am dreading a thought of a last minute trip to Adelaide, with their rabid feral unforgiving fans following you down the street after the game trying to rub the result in. Maybe I can develop some mystery illness or something. I SO don't want to go there.

As far as I can see:

            Scenario 1:
We beat the Lions (easier said than done)
If either Freo beat Pies at Subi or Bombers beat Siants we get a home final against Saints or Adelaide
(Even if we are going nowhere in terms of flag it would be nice to have a home final)

            Scenario (rest)
We lose to Brisbane we will play Collingwood.
We beat Brisbane and Pies and Saints win we play Adelaide or Saints at their homes.

Need an upset somewhere. It is dissapointing that we won't be in the mix, but a final is still a final, and playing at home would be good , at least just to get out there and cheer with a crowd at home, and give the season a send off.

Last night hurt bad, but IM STILL PROUD to cheer the red and the white

I can't help but think that at the present moment the Swans boys have Monday, 8th September on their mind.

Well they would say that on Clarendon Street, South Melbourne, not that I understand the logic behind it at all.

Don't then. You shouldnt feel obliged to. I'm not travelling for any finals this year and they dont deserve it. I flew down to Melbourne for 4 games this year and they didnt win any of them. The only game I missed in Melbourne they won (just). I'm over it - over the travel, the hassle and the cost to watch the type of utter crap served up last night.

Fitzroy in 1916 won 2 home & away games for the season.
But it so happened that most teams had pulled out due to World War I; and with only 4 teams playing the competition they all made the finals. Including Fitzroy, who then found form in the finals to win the premiership.
