So, if he retires or is pensioned off, will he be remembered most for:

* His truly memorable mark in the 05 grand final; or
* With those crazy runs and wild adventures, being as mad as a cut snake?

He really only was a crazy runner early in career. Others like Kennelly and Malceski have taken over.

By all AFL fans, it will be that mark.

For me it will always be the crazy run, as much as it used to drive me bonkers I absolutley loved it.

I love the maddies.

I love Richo - you can see the three different voices in his head

I loved Clive Waterhouse - clearly 100 percent bonkers.

I love the Fev - who wants to fight his own teammmates at times

I love Buddy - obviously a man with a little demon on his shoulder, saying: "go on, you know you wanna do it."

I love Leo running round and round in circles and dancing and imagining there are in fact 67 opponents to sidestep.

Give me more mad!

I will remember Leo by his Mark in 05.

Following the Swannies since the 60's & thinking, will i die before i see the Swannies win a Gran Final.

That Mark made sure we won that one as far as i'm concerned.

His runs are never as good without him having a bounce in the middle of half a dozen players. The chaos that his runs bring to our backline are underestimated - very hard to defend against when the player with the ball has no idea where he's running.

Tha mark in 05 will leave Leo Barry as an everlasting hero for the Swans.

I remember in all the years leading up to that and particularly when he was a half forward, Leo constantly taking high leaps over packs for marks and hardly ever actually taking the mark. I remember saying to my father at the time , that one day he would take an absolute screamer and what better a situation for that to occur than the dying seconds of a GF.

At his best in 05 and 06 but the rules changes since then have unfortunately conspired against players like Barry. It is too difficult to play as a smaller spoiling backmen these days because of the ridiculous interpretations of hands in the back etc.

I remember Rhino in the glory days saying that none of them had a clue where Leo was going either - so it was nice when a backman ran straight.

Oh, I love Richo too...the 'Matthew Richardson Is A Legend' facebook group is gold! Though I think in Richo's case it's more been his durability and the fact that he has given his all for the Tigers this year. Been a genuine star from this season, even at 33. Fev and Buddy don't do as much for me even though they are both absolute freaks, Clive was always pretty good value!

No doubt serious Swans watchers will remember him for both, but fans of other clubs will no doubt only remember the mark.

Oh yeah - Goran. God, he was 12 out of 10 on the mad scale. Without a doubt, in the top 10 sporting maddies of all time and one of my faves.

And no1 for revelling in and showcasing his own madness, which is really to be admired even more than being mad in itself.
