Fantastic effort of Matt Laidlaw to get himself back at the death of the year. Colombo Faulks is missing (possibly among others) which is strange as he's not on the injured list and we didn't seem to be maxed out for listed players.

Realistically, a good effort by the little-tacker-heavy team to be level with Belco at 3 quarter time, albeit they smashed us in the final quarter. Most of the top-up kids (who comprised half the side) apart from Nathan Gordon and RBN had little or no experience at this level.

Anyone who's barracking for us to leave the comp isn't doing so based on quality of opposition so far as Belconnen are concerned. Call 'em 'amateurs' or anything you want, but they'd be competitive against most/all teams in any other comp our 2nds could realistically play in.
