    No Rising Star nom. for Vespa/Bird

    Allipate Carlisle from Port.

    Lots will be up in arms, but he has been pretty good in the Port backline.

    Vespa will get his turn next year.

      @@@@, forgot about Carlisle. Still, I think Vespa is VERY unlucky not to get it. Meh, I guess it's better to give it to the guy who won't be able to get it next year. This wasn't Vespa's last chance; it was Carlisle's.
      Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

          Carlisle deserved a nomination. He's been very good all year. More disappointed that Birdy didn't snag one than Vespa but I guess he's been solid rather than spectacular. And I am confident he'll become at least as good a player long term as most who've got nominations this year.
