Brisbane Lions Coaching Job - Paul Roos $6

Sportingbet Australia on Fox Sports website has Paul Roos at $6 to coach Brisbane next year.

Don't believe this will happen, but thought I would throw it out there.

Roos is no chance of going to Brisbane.

It will be interesting to see if Horse applies though.

Paul Roos would have little interest in going to Brisbane when he still has so much to offer for Sydney.

                My money would be on:

Barney being director of footy at GC17.

Roosy will retire from AFL coaching at the end of 2009.

Horse will be our Head Coach on 1 October 2009.

I can cope with the first two, but the third must not be a a fate acompli.

The guys setting these odds must have missed the hundred times Roos has openly stated he will only ever coach the Swans.

Once Roosy calls it quits (and assuming Horse doesn't take the job at the Swans, hypothetically), what are the chances of Mathews coaching Sydney?

I thought Roos said he would only ever coach in Sydney. Very prepared to stand corrected on that though.

If Roosy cals it quits I would like to see another Sydney person take over. Darryn Cresswell has some coaching under his belt and was a great leader on the field. That's just a notion but I like the idea of sticking with our own

I just find amazing that there is an actual betting race as to who will be the coach of a team. It will be hilarious if the person who gets the job is someone no one has thought of - chances are that will be the case and the betting agencies will makes a fortune thanks to gullible punters.

I wouldnt mind Matthews, let him have a year off to rest and enjoy life a bit - then at the end of 2009 (oddly enough the end of Roos's tenure) we sign him up. I dont think Longmire has what it takes.
