          Small, small surprise. Now we just need him to tear the Roos defence apart and kick at least 3 goals.

          Huge shame for Bird who has really earnt a spot in our best 22 with his performances over the last 6 weeks or so.

                      Roos said they were pretty sure all week Bird wouldn't play, and then when Grundy has his injury, it the choice between Grundy and Vez to replace Bird a moot point....

                      If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
