I was thinking the same, why would you consistently punch the ball when you are clear to mark it? Unbelievably bad football on more than one ocassion.

not sure what they've done wrong - just the obvious whipping boys i guess

the culprits have been Crouch - getting smashed by Harvey, Ablett - ditto by Wells, Hall and Everitt

If they play the 2nd half like the first, regardless of the result I will be satisfied that at least they have had a red hot go.

That's crap ROK..... LRT is probably one of our better players.... Bevo hasn't done much but has been far from our worst. Yeah Grant kicked two but the snap off the ground is hardly a purposeful goal where he clearly beat his opponent. Can't stop them.

Ablett an Kennelly are just woeful.

We have taken marks in the forward 50 and missed several very gettable shots.

I think the game is clearly in the balance.
Was it Hale with all the claret around the eye - maybe not back for the second half if it's his eye.

Just kick straight and we win.

                  just them?

If that's all, that is a marked team improvement
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Bevan constantly punching indiscriminately. Has also turned the ball over a number of times, once led directly to a goal, with no real pressure on him.

LRT is struggling. Loose defence led to a goal in that qtr plus his disposal is as poor as ever.

Goodes, Moore and O'Keefe look the part.

Hall to kick 4 goals in the 2nd half.

                      Half Time

                      North Melbourne 6.4 40
                      Sydney 4.6 30

A somewhat better performance by the Swans in what has been an intense, scrappy contest with Monty and McVeigh leading the disposal count with 13 touches, Everitt and Jolly dominating in the ruck and an increase in winning the clearances. The umpiring is still continues to be contentious and inconsistent, but as long as the Swans win the clearances, get possession and a good run from the backline and the Swans can win this.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Agreed Bevan is having an ordinary one. That kick across the centre was dumb when the obvious move was up the line. Why we won't kick long to our forwards has got me buggered. When we have we have got results.

Ablett's stats go something like this: 2 centre scrubby clearances (still they were clearances) one HT man at centre bounce against, 2 kicks off the ground, one HTB, one kick into man coming towards him (why the hell did the other 3 players let him take it) - no bloody good.

Thought we have had plenty of the ball, but at contests we have 3-4 on the ground and North have 2 sitting off the pack so when it comes out they are getting it with regular monotony.

Just got to use it better and it will come down to survival of the fittest.

Like the efforts of Moore, but Richards fumbles too much in the wet up forward.

Agree on the second point. Jude not much better.

Cannot agree on LRT, see above. Bevan is not a footballer, just a tough nut. Goes OK against soft sides but struggles against the better ones.

Can anyone confirm if attempted tripping is still reportable.
Umpire warned Harvey at a throw in and replay clearly showed he held his leg out but did not connect..... no free or report?

LRT has been good, but Bevan's disposal has been @@@@ and he's doing the old run straight into the tackler of days of yore. Buchanen is getting the pill, but his disposal is letting him down. Everitt yet to actually have a possession. McVeigh has been the standout.
