Ch 10 Coverage of Swans Vs Roos

Completely sucked.

Very rare for me to give a crap about good/bad coverage comments as it never really worries me that much.

But tonight it was really really bad.
How many replays are they gonna show while the game is going on?
How many times are they gonna use a camera on the boundary only to have a blue or red jumper get in the way?
And that AFL swirly logo at the end of every replay uses up a ridiculous amount of game time.
Add poor camera work - missing the play and it was pretty frustrating to watch.

The replays annoyed me while play was going on. But that was evened up by not having to listen to McAvaney because it was on 10. I'll take that any time.

lane needs to have a good look at himself and have a listen to his commentary and its anti-swans pattern - he still has not gottn over barry hall getting to play in 2005

How pissed off would the AFL bewith the stuff up at the beginning!!!!! How amateurish. Flying thatbloke around the country so he can introduce the National Anthem and he didn't get to say his words. What a waste of airfares!!!!

The coverage was very badly produced tonight - especially the replays - the number of times that passages of play were missed was ridiculous.

Plus they don't even watch their own coverage - they kept saying the goal umpire didn't signal that the ball hit the post (which he did) even though it was captured on their footage. I can understand the callers missing it while watching the play, but surely someone in their production team was watching what they produced?

I think Bruce is still a very good play-by-play caller of the game (as is Commetti), his McAvaney-isms are a bit hit and miss, but infinitely preferable to listening to Lane and Walls in the same commentary box IMO. (Another bonus of being at the game! )

I am going to defend Ch10 - at least Quarters and Lane call the actual play. I've been pleasantly surprised.
I get totally annoyed when it becomes a chat-fest.
