Took some sensational marks tonight and kicked straight for a change.

Two of his early marks looked as though he used clamps with superglue to take them. I haven't seen a Swan take a mark like that for ages.

I wonder if he kicked straighter because he didn't run as much.

The cream rises to the top in finals. Quite possibly his best game for the year.

Of course he should as long as the midfield is winning and tonight the midfield was as good as I can recall for a long time in the second half. Our second half centre clearance work was outstanding and I believe that is where we won the game.

Makes for a very powerful fwd line. Hall, ROK, Goodes, Vez, Moore and MO'L.

But will Vez get the boot if O'Loughlin is ready?

I still reckon he has the potential to be an absolutely sensational permanent CHF. If only his run wasnt so valuable around the ground I guess! Was great tonight and need another big one from him next week. BBB wasnt too shabby either.

Gee I'd love to have MOL back next week though.

Of course, he'll be dropped from the 22, be named as an emergency, and be slotted back into the side at the last minute when someone fails to come up with a niggle. Haven't you been paying attention?

It was only a matter of time before ROK returned to form. He's had tough weeks recently - other teams know how good he can be & give him deserved 'attention' to quieten him. Umps have shafted him also at some games.

i don't think i could handle that again - i was so crushed when he wasn't named on thursday but i'm thinking it'll be pretty much the same this week!!

Hindsight tells me he was quite right to be named as an emergency, as he did nor perform as well as he did last week. After the game in the rooms I saw him with 3 massive ice packs sitting next to him with him grabbing one and putting on his Quad/thigh area. Still, the experience is valuable for him and probably the first time he has witnessed the Kirky-come on in real life out on the field.
