Next course on the menu: Bulldog

You can never get adequate payback for losing a GF but last night was still nice. Our first final following the 1996 GF was against the Bulldogs and in that match, they just ran all over us.
This will be just our 3rd final against the Dogs. The first was way back in 1942so not a big finals rivalry against them.

I'm very very confident we will defeat them.
    a) We have a ton more finals experience than them
    b) They are under the pump after losing to Hawthorn and don't want to go out in straight sets. We have nothing to lose.
    c) They only won 2 of their last 7 and that was to us and Essendon. We were going through a lean spell then with atrocious kicking for goal not helping. If we played just half as well as we did last night we would have smashed them.

New York Giants did it this year and we could also be the classic example of a team peaking at the perfect time. If St Kilda somehow pull off the biggest upset in the history of the game, we know that all the cards are falling in the right way for us.

Yes. So our collective positive energy needs to go towards St Kilda upsetting Geelong today!

Glad to see i'm not the only swans fan (apart from my best mate) who has the Swans finals campaign mapped out 3 weeks ahead!

If only R22 went the way it was supposed we'd be in fourth and in form!

No! I'm glad we finished 6th and got to play and win a home final against North (I havent stopped smiling today). If we'd finished 4th we'd be facing Collingwood next weekend (assuming we wouldnt beat Geelong).

I give us a great shot of beating the Dogs next week if we can get all our players back to a decent level of fitness by then. There are several obviously carrying injuries at the moment, and others very much worried by it (Ie the Irishman!). MOL back would be nice to. We can beat the dogs. We didnt play badly against them either time this year and we always play well at the G. Bring em on I say!

I was about to start a thread along the same lines. Was far better to finish 5th this year than 4th - at least for weeks 1 and 2
