    Daily Telegraph

Just bought today's Daily Telegraph and there is not one single mention of last night's Swans game in the paper. There is an article on the Colingwood game, and article about the Hawks and an article about St Kilda yet not one single mention of the Swans - what a disgrace. I cannot believe this.

The main reason that usually happens is that the newspaper was printed before the match finished.

I have received the free paper after the game and then seen the paper the next day and it does have some up-dates so is not exactly the same. I still think that the game finished early enough for a small article to be included.

bought it in newtown at 11am and the first two inner pages of the sport section were swans and afl.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Where do you live? You must have one of the earlier editions.

Some areas get the 8pm edition for some reason, my agent in Neutral Bay had the early edition Tele which had no Swans mention but had the late edition Herald which had the Swans as the lead story.

Same with the sun - herald I saw today.

BTW, I saw my first TV advertisement for the swans North game last night. .... at 11:30pm, an hour after the coverage finished.

                Great work AFL.

My Melbourne HS gets delivered around 6-7am, and the game is in the paper, so I don't think this could be an excuse for the local rag.

There's usually two different versions that hit the shops in the morning. If you get the one that was from the first print which is not necessarily the one delivered at that time of the morning can be the earlier version. I've noticed that happens quite regularly (even incl. the early morning delivered ones we get).

ETA: Or as Damien put above.

Thanks for all the info I will not be buying the paper so early anymore, in fact I probably won't bother and just catch up on the internet.

My Herald Sun which got delivered this morning (Melbourne Metro) had the full back page covered in red and white (Quite a funny pic actually of BBBH with a quote under saying "here doggy doggy") where's my dads paper which got delivered this morning (Phillip Island) was cover to cover Black and white collingwood rubbish. Understandably, he thinks the best fathers day gift I bought him today was the copy of my paper.

The Sunday Times had the Swans win on the back page with "Swan Song" as the headline which surprised me a bit, until I realised the Eagles and Dockers didn't make the 8 this year.

Ash i got the Husn this morning and it had the Pies plastered all over it and they(Hun) were spewing the Swans won.It seems as if all of victoria wanted all the both adelaide and the Swans to lose.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...
