Is 30 the new old?

Ive noticed that a few clubs are delisting (retiring) 29,30 year old players and talk is of them being past it or too old.

Is this due to the direction the game is heading ala Geelong?

Or due to the upcoming GC and WS teams, and current teams are wanting to pump their lists full of kids?

Do you think the Swans will go down the same path at the end of the year?

I must be ancient.
