    1. We were killed for pace in the midfield.
2.Four of our most quicker players were either missing or injured.
3.We kicked badly for goal and as a result failed to answer the Bullies surge in the third quarter.

Points 2&3 are fixable for next season. Point 1 is the problem and has been since the great Willo left us. Is Lovett part of the answer with Vez, Braba, O'Keefe, ODwyer and Bird developing? We need more pace and line breakers in the midfield. And Leo must retire with honour and with the gratitutde of the club and its supporters for a fantastic career.

All up I think it was a good season. Fair enough some of the players are getting on, but we have a couple of good young contributors yjrough a year where Geelong were always going to win the flag. If there is a problem it's that we didn't bring in enough young players. We might have lost more games but well, sometime soon we will have to bite the bullet, Mick, HAlly, Crouch, Barry, B1 can't be topline players forever. The Dogs have a young side with a lot of players around the 100 game mark who have good skills and planty of run. With our injuries and structure a bit out of sorts, well, you can't expect miracles. Without Mick the forward line is not working the way it usually does, and when we take Leo out of the back six, get ready to concede some points

The Dogs on the other hand got "high" on their accurate kicking and gained in confidence. The turning point in the game was the gift from the Gods straight in front that Kenaelly could not convert. I like the guy immensely but he's likely to miss these shots every time. At least we know that even with the Umpires on our side we still can't kick a winning score.

That wasn't critical because we got 7 points from that I50 courtesy Spida and Hall.

            They played like crap.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
