A * meaning that without Davis we still wouldn't have won a flag since 1933.

I am a fence sitter on nick davis.

which makes me unusual i guess. I accept he doesn't apply great defensive pressure (btw was that brian lake kicking a goal last night ?) but he does provide a grenuine goal scoring option which a lot of our players don't.

his year is a failure and i have given him a fail but i do think that we miss him, his ability to convert. BUT he clearly has a divisive character based on how the rest of the club and playing group do not seem to have wanted to get him back.

but i have grave fears about the immediate future of the team and have largely concluded we will not be genuinely competitive in the next three years. so retaining or losing him will make relatively little difference.

Would have been nice to have someone who could kick straight in the side last night.

Sadly, I suspect his career's finished (and largely thanks to Greg Swann).

Freo - Heave ho... Time for ND to go...

He would like to forget this year as would we. No room for him next year with a youth policy!

            Thank you, goodbye and amen.

Oh please, that is just absolute crap.

Probably my favourite player alongside Hall. Didn't give him a rating as he hardly played.

He has played a lot of good games for the Swans - not just one quarter as many claim.

Without Nick Davis, Roos' coaching record would look very similar to Eade's with the Swans.

His first game semed alright to me so I gave him a reasonable rating. It's hard to bounce back when you-re dropped for what I would judge as the restrictive side of the bloods culture.

Keep him as kicking coach , his technique is superb. Better than Halls, ROK, MOL, B1, TK, Kirk etc

An interesting point on this, considering he supposedly is not a team oriented character, is that I've seen him spending time at open training sessions clearly working as a kicking coach with some of the other players (LRT and Bevan stand out in my mind).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

For me he lacked the necessary attitude, even if he had been playing in the side during July/August I honestly don't think he would have made any difference. He clearly does not fit into Rooseys plans and the fact he was shopping himself around the other month says it all. Davo gave us some fantastic service and put in some memorable performances and should rightly go down as one of Roos' better buys. Wish him all the best for the future wherever it may be.

I'm not going to give him a rating, it would be pretty meaningless, as mentioned earlier the year's been basically a write-off for Nick, that said I kinda hope he stays on the list for next year, I think he still has something to offer us.
