Says something about the importance of ruck work. Where did WC and Freo finish?

Looks like the Swans aren't selfish enough, team efforts don't win accolades.

Surprised to see Judd as AA Captain but then again I'm not, considering Carlton gave him the captaincy before he played for them, he was also given a cushy job at VISY (doesn't count towards the salary cap though) and B&F award for Carlton. I hope he's got an acceptance speech ready for Brownlow night.

        He's the Vics' new god.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Not surprising given the way the Melbourne press views Sydney. Imagine one of their precious victorians being left out, how ROK could be left out I can't fathom. Medhurst? patchy? Bit light on for running on the bench isn't it?

IMO Riewoldt's had an ordinary year. Dont think he has had the impact saints would expect at this point of his career.

Why would ROK get in ahead of either of these two?

                Riewoldt 17dpg and 62 goals (61% accuracy)

                Medhurst 16dpg and 50 goals (65% accuracy)

                ROK 20dpg and 23 goals (47% accuracy)

Part of the criteria, and correct me if I am wrong, was consistency over 22 games.

Carlton won 10 games and Judd had a slow start to the year. His brilliance was only patchy, and Carlton got some horrible floggings. If it wasn't for Fevola they would have again been bottom 4.

Cooney had a poor last 3rd of the season and it was brought up adnausium on Melbourne radio that it was one of the main factors in the Doggies poor last 3rd. How could you possibly have him in over Ling.

They just love Reiwolt in the Melbourne media but he copped his fair share for genuine inconsistency.

Pavlich: Freo won 5 games and he kicked 60 odd goals. Any chance the fact that he is a grossly selfish player have anything do with their poor year.

I didn't think ROK was that consistent and had a bit of injury but I thought Kirk should have at least got on the bench.

By the way, does the AFL have enough hangers on.

That's crap Nico. Choked a few times late in games but I don't think you could call him selfish (unless you're Grant Thomas). Absolute gun and I reckon he's actually underrated over here. If he played for Collingwood or Carlton, we'd never stop hearing about him.

Them's fightin' words P46. I have seen him many times try to do the impossible and try to kick a goal when there has been a better option. Selfish may be a bit strong, perhaps not a real team player.

As for Carlton and Collingwood, you never stop hearing about them regardless.
