Cox had second-highest number of hitouts in the competition this year.

Crystal clear JC, but Cox with his speed is more than a ruckman and would benefit the midfield greatly. Also, a good ruck combo can go along way in winning you a premiership, look at the winners in recent years. Agree, we do need quick mids and thats where Kerr comes into it, hence is why roosy was probably talking to Cox.

I suspect Cox as a senior WCE player would have said to Roosy exactly what he said On The Couch this week - that Kerr is contracted to the Eagles for another year and won't be going anywhere.

We'll see next year but FWIW, I'll put down a $20 that Cox will be knocked off his perch as teh premier ruck man of the comp....

Cox makes Jolly look incompetent every time they play each other.

Yeah but at 27 years of age, he's obviously on his way down. He's only made the last 4 All Australian teams

Well, we're already getting Kerr and Cousins. Why not have a ruckman they are used to? :\

He did, but if you look at West Coasts year..

He was one of only three players to play all 22 games. He did the very majority of rucking in 2008.

Compare to us: Jolly 543 & Everitt 199.

EDIT: By the way, I am not suggest I would not want Cox. Is easily the most 'complete' ruckman in the AFL.

                          Seaby also had 148 HOs.

                          Total WC hitouts/game = 36 (Cox 72%, 26 per game)
Total Swans hitouts/game = 36 (Jolly 64%, 23 per game = very similar to his '06 numbers when he was our only real ruckman)

Cox is obviously capable of rucking for longer as well as running around the ground and getting the ball.

Exactly what I thought. But gee, Cox, now that would be an awesome acquisition.

i dont know even why you would be considering that Cox would contemplate it as he just signed a 3 yr deal early in the year.

I doubt he would be talking to Roosy about Kerr, as he would want him his midfield next year, as it is they are under manned.

Now Cox is very close with Ben, they are part owners in a couple of horses, so IMHO i think he maybe courting him about Cuz.

Personally and i ahve said it many times, he is the best outside mid fielder in recent years, which we desperatley lack. And provided his health is ok, i dont have a problem with him being on board.

I dont rate Kerr as high as him, Kerr since becoming the #1 midfielder at WCE he has struggled with the oppositions #1 tagger and consistantly gets rubbed out for stupid on field antics, plus we dont have anything to offer WCE, we may have N Davis but we dont have a high enough draft pick to go with him.

Which testicle would Roosy have to give up to secure Cox.
