    The Brownlow WAGS - thoughts?

Ok I dont know if this should go in the Sandpit, General Footy discussions or Current affairs - anyway - have had a look at the photo's on the Herald Sun or the AGE websites (I'm not that clever to insert links etc)

Now is it me or is Judd's girl a bit too over exposed?

Now I'm no fashion plate - nor am I in a position to judge anyone, however, these are WAGS and there are would be WAGS. So I'm judging away!!!

Sure Twigley is an attractive girl - but what was with the bondage bizzo on her otherwise very nice frock. She also over did it a little with the spray on tan - otherwise a nice dress all the same.

The get up that Brent Harveys wife had on - hmm well - she aint Twigley I'm afraid so the backless and might as well of been completely frontless number didnt quite work..

Thought it funny when they showed ROK with "partner" well actually it was his wife doing the model pose again.

McVeighs girl Clementine - her frock was nice - a shame that the lad couldn't look a bit more excited in the photo.

We can also be thankful that Andrew McLeods wife didnt get a run again this year - after the sparking number on her back last year - that frightening many.

No for me the frock I liked best was that worn by Lauren Sharkey - girlfriend of Bryce Gibbs - and she didnt over do it with the make up and hair etc - very elegant indeed.

So thoughts ladies? and blokes, apart from saying "I'd like to give (insert name here) one" - your thoughts are awaited too.

p.s - forgot to add Harry O'Briens she was stunning - her dress was lovely - although one of the lads in the office here thought that her boobs were bit over inflated!

Someone must have told the WAGs that "less is more" and the WAGs must have thought they were referring to the amount of material required for the frock
Agree with the belt for Twigs it ruined a nice frock.
Really the focus should be on the footballers and the award rather than the outfits worn by their partners.
    Bring it on!

And having another look - they really did over do it with the spray tan.

Agree - you would think with the way they promote the WAGS that they must sit at home all day in a tracky and flanny and that they have been let out of the house for a night so they go a bit over board.

Nice to see that a surprise took out the medal - I wonder how many put a few hard earned on Cooney.

Twigley was channelling Boadiccea (sp?) with that wierd belt.
Agree that Sharkey was the standout.
I think it nice that the ladies get to frock up - I love a party dress. Doesn't worry me at all.

            OK. (Herald Sun Photos)

Brett Deledio's girlie Katie Chivers should check where her split actually ends before climbing up stairs. Oops. Wardrobe malfunction.

Quietly, I think Chris Judd likes a bit of S&M.

Junkie Cousins took his mum ... Mate, it only looks good to take your mum when your name is Adam Goodes. We all know you took your mum so she could stop you from imbibing.

            Alex Fevola is a tramp.

Shayne McClintock's white undies were visible from the back of her dress (always a great look).

Best dressed IMO - Bryce Gibb's girl, Lauren Sharkey. Absolutely stunning choice of frock.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Agree there were some shockers - but that dress that Lauren Sharkey wore was just beautiful.

Yeah I think Boomers missus thought she was going to "do a Twigley" and get away with it.

I haven't checked out any of the photos online but judging from the Red Carpet Special on tv . . .

Scott Pendlebury's partner took the prize for me - absolute stunner that clearly has some brains about her. Is she in any of the photos? As for Alex Fevola on both counts, lets just say I agree with Annie.

Didn't get to hear Sharkey speak but she did look beautiful.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

yeah Lauren Sharkey's dress was beautiful and the hair and make-up complimented it very nicely - Garry Ablett's partner was also very elegant and beautiful, there were some shockers but also some very nice dresses this year ... jarred mcveigh's partners dress was very nice also.

Agree with you on Katie Chivers, she'll probably be cringeing today.
I thought Shayne's white bit at the back might have been Hollywood tape. Not wishing to be bitchy she really doesn't have the figure for that dress (neither do I for that matter).
I liked Sharkey's dress for drinks on the Lido deck after a good swim, looks more like beachwear to me.
Ria Wells looked good, particularly difficult to do the ball gown look when you are heavily preggers.
The other ones I liked were Felicity Percival (Tom Harley's lady) and Amy Pollard (Luke Ball) and Erin Briggs looked good too.
                    Bring it on!

The best dressed in my eyes were Lauren Phillips (Ablett), Shannon McGuire (Wirrapunda), Lauren Sharkey and Christie Malthouse looked gorgeous how hard would it be to find a dress that looks so nice over the bump

The worst dressed were Rebecca Twigley, Jobe Watson's girlfriend looks like she's wearing her bra on the outside, Shayne McClintock should have looked at the rear view in a mirror

Now there's an idea. AFL v NRL WAGs. On the dance floor, on the runway, or Gladiator style. A ratings winner.

Why was Cousins even invited? Bad decision AFL. Very Bad.

He is a former Brownlow winner. Every former winner is invited. I don't have a problem with that. It always has been the way, it always will be the way.

Goody Stella was very happy with that photo, McVeigh the younger looked quite handsome- she has been contending for sometime that despite losing his hair McVeigh the younger has become more of a dish than McVeigh the elder, I refuse to believe anyone could be more of a dish than McVeigh the elder.
