Ah, but imagine the tired puns we could get.

"A Ray of light" "Ray gun" "Raysing the standard"

      Or perhaps

      "Faded Ray"

I really like his name, go get him guys!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Why don't we just recruit every single player who gets the boot from the other 15 clubs.

So you suggest that we continue with our usual trading policy?

Only if they are over 32, chronically injury prone or have played less than 9 senior games in their last 2 seasons.

Yes, I always base my opinion of a player on one game.

                      What about Junkies?
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

OK, but would be preferable if he meets one of the other criteria.

                            NO!

The last thing we need is a skinny kid with ordinary skills.
We already have too many players with ordinary skills, another one may just tip us over the edge.

Seriously. If anyone watched the 1st final against the Hawks, you would have seen that they were allowing Ray to get the ball, as he would turn it over at every opportunity!... he stunk! Hence the reason he was dropped for the rest of the dogs finals campaign.
