    Footy Marathon on 7HD

Not sure if we've blessed with this before but from midnight onward tonight.

    TV Guide - Australia's TV Guide - Yahoo!7

No mention of what games they've got though. At the very least will have the record button ready.

They never say what games will be on, well at least that was the case the last time they did a marathon that I watched.

Hopefully they show a bit of the 89 GF.

The tragedy that is the 96 GF is currently on Foxtel. It was great to see the old buggers running around again. However, only watched til about half time.

I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

Saw Fox's replay of the 2006 GF - the second half. Gee we were good, and so nearly got back to back. Never mind getting Spida - if Jolly had played to his normal standards we would have got over the line.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                I couldn't watch 2006. Just too disappointing. If only...in only...if only....
Gees I enjoyed the 05 replay.
I can't believe people call our footy boring and ugly. Edge of the seat, nail biting, gripping contest from start to finish - unlike the second half of Saturday with the rushed behind fest.

It was gripping because neither side could score a goal. Saturday would have been the same closeness except Hawthorn were able to kick goals in a rush at the end of the third quarter.

The Marathon had the last ~15 mins of both 2005 & 2006 plus a few earlier highlights (like Goodesy's goal).

The 89 GF was (not surprisingly) indeed shown extensively. I skipped thru a lot but also noticed the 1977 drawn GF and also the record setting 1970(?) game.

They also showed some pre TV footage - like 1954.

I still have the whole thing on HDD but as it was only shown in Sydney on HD it takes over 50GB so it won't be kept much longer.
