    I'd love to see Cheese prove to the coaching staff the talent he showed on his debut. Disappointed with the year he had but I hope he goes well during the off-season and builds on some consistency.

    And Dan Currie gets a game or two to gain some experience in the top grade.

One reservation - both these kids are in need of instruction on how to cope with strong, big bodied ruckmen. But when they both fill out and mature we will have a ruck combination to take us through the next ten years.

      The same spy who told me that eight were to be cut from the list also said that Mocca was assured of a berth in the starting 22 next year.

      I am a big wrap on Columbo and fully expect him to debut next year. where he plays long term will obviously depend on how his body develops. I hope he spends some serious time in the gym this off season.

      I am looking for a big year from Matty O. He has that quality every team needs - speed."

      I posted this lot in the ressies GF thread. It seems obvious that the two players the club expect breakout years from are Crusher and Mocca.

      The players I have hopes for are Orreal and Faulks. Jayco played a terrific Grannie and if he continues his rate of improvement could be THE surprise packet of 2009. With his present build Columbo looks like the heir apparent to Leo, add a few kilos extra and he will be the KPP backman the Swans desperately need.

      On what I saw this year, I think Skull Murphy has another year to go.

      I am predicting now that as soon as Nathan Gordon reaches drafting age he WILL be drefted and WILL progress immediatelly into the senior team. The kid has so much talent. I've jumped into the drivers seat of his bandwagon, and cannot wait for it to roll.
      Could you please repost this (because it seems very interesting) with the Insider-nicknames replaced with the players actual names?

      Also, I find it amusing that Barlow was being talked up as the next Goodes....

        If u don't mind, Cheese please, not Barlow

        Dan/Crusher = Currie
        Jake/Jayco/Caravans = Orreal
        Mocca = Jesse White
        Columbo = Peter Faulks (surely u could work that one out )
        Matty O = Matty O
        Leo = Leo
        Skull = Brendon Murphy
        Nathan Gordon = Nathan Gordon
        Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

          According to the Rams team list, Gordon's DOB is February 1990, meaning he is eligible to be drafted this year.

            I'd like them all to have a breakout year - we'd cream the runner-up in the Grand Final - but the one I'd really like to see come through is Matty Laidlaw. He's had a rotten run with injuries but on field he really looked the part, with speed, good hands and an eye for his surroundings.
            He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

              "Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

                  As a first round pick I'd hope D.O'Keefe steps up next year. Big questions marks on him though and will he even be on the list next year?

                    Looking for Cheese to step up. I think his lost year may have done him the world of good, his self belief was bordering on, ahem, well, you know.

                    What about Mocca White? I like that kid/man. He may take longer than some, but I wait with anticipation.

                    I would love DOK to do well. He has the same body type as Peb and he was a pleasure to watch grow into his game. Sat back and smiled to myself a lot.

                    Veszpa will of course do well. He knows it, we know it.

                    Matty, Jayco, MODs, its just a matter of when.

                    Skull, yes, and the Canadian bloke who we haven't seen yet but is built like a brick SH. Who knows.

                      I dont care who it is i just want to see a Swan win a NAB rising star,then again Swans to make up the top 3.
                      Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

                        I'm betting on Murphy
