Applies scant defensive pressure either. Simply in the side because he can kick long and hit a target.

I reckon Roos would have got 19 text messages from Davo on Saturday.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

As soon as I read ROK's post I immediately thought, 'Davo!' But refrained from posting as I didn't want to turn this into another Davis thread

I think deep down, every thread is a Davis thread.

Here here. Bring back more fat bastards in Aussie Rules. Characters like Grenville Dietrich were legends. Could drink a brewery out of beer on the Friday night & play a blinder the next day.

He proved a very dangerous foil forward for the Hawks yesterday. Is one of the longest and truest kicks in the game. Those 2 3rd quarter goals were not only incredibly important in breaking the game open, but they were tremendous pieces of skill.

                Go the Dewmeister!

Yes, I think it's a sign I've been spending too much time on RWO... it must have been the words 'scant defensive pressure' and 'can hit a target'. Heh.

Time to go on off-season leave...

Must have a career as an NFL punter.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

If the NFL recruiters haven't approached him yet, they will soon. The highlight for me was that low-trajectory shot at goal from 50m out and how he did it with ease.

With the weight he's carrying, he won't need much padding.

Just read a piece in the Oz about what Dew went through to play this year. Don't have the exact details but they gave up and basically put him through a second pre-season program during the middle of the year to try and get him right for the finals.
I have no idea what his diet is like but I take my hat off to him. Clearly had a role both on and off the field for a youngish team and did it perfectly.

Apparently he has some sort of medical dissorder which affects his weight, was on one of the reports last night but they didnt mention what.
