Great news, although I wonder what this means for Longmire.

I'm wondering whether or not the coaching tactics they had with Roos on the bench, etc with Longmire in the box had anything to do with the extension (that sounded better in my head).

I wouldn't be surprised if the second Sydney team tries to poach Longmire.

Definitely great news for Roos and the Swans though.

why? because the nodding brigade decided three years ago that the assistant to the reigning premier coach was the next hot property in coaching circles? in recent years the annointed 'prospects' have included mark harvey, garry o'donnell, cressa, ross lyon, horse, peter jonas, voss and buckley and each name has been conjured out of thin air on the basis of circumstantial evidence with only lyon demonstrating any ability at all as yet. meanwhile alistair clarkson was roundly viewed as a seat warmer for lethal's timely return to glenferrie.....
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Money was too good to give up. Who could blame him.

Lets keep bagging him until the next premiership.

              Good news.

Stability may be a factor with two boys at crucial stages in their schooling.

Now maybe some new blood on the coaching panel!

Good news. I'm fascinated to see how he manages a rebuild.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Yep, put me down as a fan.

Not only do I like Roos, it gives me confidence that he has the confidence our young blokes will step up to the challenge.
