When O'loughlin and Hall go we could have the superstar forward line of Playfair and Johns we will give Franklin and Roughhead a run for their money.
It has to be a joke Johns will not make it as an AFL player. This is a crackerjack draft why dont we pick up a key forward from one of the super talented kids.
I just cant believe it i want to spew up!

Many people seem to think we will go with Trengove or McKernan with our first pick. They are both tall forwards so we will wait and see.

I would be thinking that maybe Eade and Roos may have had chats about BBH to the Doggies. Why else would we need Johns?

Don't worry, I heard he broke his wrist while shaking Roos's hand.

Seriously, I remember hearing one of the commentators reciting an interesting fact during one of his rare games for Essendon. In that particular season all his goals came from set shots. Which would seem to indicate he is tremendously one-dimensional and adds no value when the ball hits the deck.

He definitely wouldn't fit in at the Swans if he can consistently goal from set shots!

I didn't say he can consistently goal from set shots, just that he kicked all his goals from set shots. He might have kicked 50% of his set shots for all I know.

I reckon he'll go alright. He just has to get over his ACL (which will be around August next year) and he'll be an asset. Remember Ted Richards anyone? No-one ever thought he'd be the player he is. Sometimes a change of scenery makes a bumper cropper.

I was way more excited about Ted than I am about Johns. Plus we needed a Ted on our list, it's a fun name.

Yeah, but he was @@@@ before he did his ACL. Coming back from an ACL is hardly grounds to expect improvement. Fundamentally, he's just not a good footy player.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Henry is a far better mark. Johns is good on a quick lead but that's about it. Henry is also better when the ball hits the deck. Yes, much better. Johns may be a slightly better shot at goal but he ain't no Mark Williams in that department.

Well, not yet anyway. We have renurtured quite a number of players, and only a few have not come up to the mark, and the ones that work far outweigh the ones that haven't. Williams, Bolton, Richards, Hall, Plugger, Schwatta, as against Brennan, Tingay, umm, can't include Fruity, he turned up trumps anyway.

I like Henry. He will do just fine. So why not give Johns a go, he wouldn't be expensive, he could be a good fit. Yet another blond. We need a few redheads to properly clash with our strip. And a few more indig too. We seem to be lacking in that department, big time. Mick and Goodsey at present....good reason to bring in some more boys.

Richo man in 1995. Last point you make is probably more apt.

no thankyou. Rubbish player imo that isnt good enough for the top level. Id rather we take a punt on a draft pick to be honest.
