C'mon...he is a premiership player, no need to boo him. I am a little annoyed that he is just up and leaving but I think you have to look at it from his perspective for a minute. He was actually going to walk away from football a few years ago when his brother died. I think that has always been in the back of his mind and I know from my personal experience, life in Sydney is not for everyone...give him a break, he gave us a lot of good years - never forget that.
    Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!

You can't blame him looking after his own best interest. Footy is business and players are either breeding stock or pet food.

I will feel very sad rather than angry once it becomes official, and especially so when he lines up in another team's uniform. Definitely one of my favourite players.

O'Keefe has been a complete @@@@@ during this whole process. I want him to go now and I will boo him loudly next year. I will never boo Schneider or Dempster as they were traded against their wishes (booing a player while he is kicking for goal doesnt count as you're not booing the player, rather you're just trying to put them off their kick).

I only ever disliked a few past players. Rocca, of whom I have a signature on a Swans jumper after the 96 Granny. Grant because he wimped like Rocca.
Greg Stafford whilst he was still with the Swans.

I wouldn't waste my breath booing ROK. He has been with the Swans a long time. He didn't leave after his brother was killed and at 28 yrs, the Swans recruiters are not going to put him in a position to be in another GF let alone win one.

You can't blame the gut. If the Swans stuff up on the deal with pilchard, it's not his fault.

Release and hope for a good deal.

            There ends the sermon.

Nice to see some logic amongst a sea of mostly puerile crap. ROK had every reason to return to Melbourne after his brother's tragedy but decided to stay and has given great service ever since. There are exceptions to the rule, whatever the rule is.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

Just wondering, take footy out of the equation... how many RWOers have quit their jobs because they didn't like the work environment or were offered more $. How many of you would?

AFL footy is essentially a business, but their careers are typically much shorter and there is no long service leave.

He'll be getting one hell of a boo from me for the rest of his career if he goes into the PSD just DAYS after becoming a life member of this great club.

I am already pretty annoyed at him but if we get nothing

I can hear Big Al booing our current players from my seat - he sits four bays away!

The players really appreciate all the advice that I offer them.

I won't be booing Gordan Gekko...sorry Ryan O'keefe but I will be offering the usual advice that I reserve for Collingwood players and be telling him that he can get his ticket home by lining up in the far queue.

That's the beauty of free speech I suppose. Any misinformed or ill-advised foghorn can offer their half-baked theories on practically anything. Some of them even make a living from it. Returning to context however, I would have thought that I was more than accepting of Bloodboy?s comment.

I particularly like this new concept of booing ROK for staying. What a novel idea.

No, I'm not into booing former Swans players, but if he became an umpire...
