Congratulations Brett Kirk, a thoroughly deserved winner of his 2nd Troy Luff Medal!!!
Gets more of the ball than any other Swan, tackles more than any other player in the AFL, a real hardnut onballer that's not only a great player but a great leader on the field. You're not the fastest, flashiest or most skilled player but you more than make up for it with effort, determination, toughness, tackling pressure and domination in winning clearances.
2009 should be another great season for you Kirky! I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adoreComment

Great stuff Kirky!
My 5yr old has 31 on his guernsey and my wife thinks you are truly special (QUQ) mainly as she can't figure out how you casually snap goals from a breakdown filled with players.
From me, I just love the passion and hardness that you bring to our team week in week out, and the inspirational example you set for the game!
You played very well this year! Congratulations and well done!
PS. Any chance of giving the skipper rotation the flick for 09 and taking the on field role full-time?
