    Where will Davis end up?

Just wanted to start the first Davis thread in the "general" forum.

    My guess is Melbourne.

I reckon the Bulldogs or Carlton could use him. Possibly one of the WA teams or even Port. I hope he gets picked up somewhere, overcoming the number Roos has done on him.

Must be a huge chance to finish nowhere.

Considering he was told on Friday, you could only assume he was hawked around at the trade talks with no takers. If the Swans were delisting him regardless, as they were, they would have taken Pick 100 for him with no intention of using the pick, just giving him a chance to continue his career.

I wouldn't like to be betting he finds a home at AFL level. If he does, good luck to him.

Melbourne have almost run out of fwds. Robbo and Davo in the goal square, Stella could almost turn for that combo.

                  I'll second that.

Having said that though, clubs that don't manage to secure what they want out of the drafts might be inclined to pick him late in the PSD as a supplement. This is a premiership player, a bona fide matchwinner that comes with no more baggage then most of the roundabouts in their late 20's. Is he that dissimilar to Stuart Dew?

I'd say Port Adelaide or Essendon - teams looking for a quick rise up the ladder next year into the finals.

Hear hear Bloods. I also think that if he is playing at AFL level, it is going to come back and bite us badly at some stage.

He's a very similar type to Dew IMO. Amazingly similar numbers in their careers. Neither get the ball a stack, but when they do they use it well. Remind me of players like Vinnie Johnson - the microwave - in the NBA. Could do a few really useful things to turn a game without racking up huge numbers or doing everything the other players did.

If not Melbourne or Freo, then Port Melbourne would probably give him the most attractive offer in Victoria. If he could be bothered moving back.
