How friggin soft do they want this game to be?Free kick for misconduct
Proposal discussed: introduce a ?misconduct? free kick for incidents such as squirting the contents of drink bottles in the face of opponents, throwing objects during play (e.g. mud, mouth guards, other players boots) and/or for unnecessarily interfering with an opponent (e.g. pulling opposition player?s shorts down). At present a player can be reported for misconduct but a free kick cannot be awarded.
I hope they listen to the little people!

Hold fire on rushed behinds: RoosWild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

That's 1.2 deliberate rushed behinds per team per game. You would think it was 12 the way some people are carrying on.RUSHED BEHINDS 2007-08 08 AVG 07 AVG

Rushed behinds 6.0 5.7

Most of the rule changes in that survey are alarmist and reactionary.
The interchange rule is stupid. How they're told to interchange is the problem, more rules won't improve the process.
The only rules I thought made sense were the score line being behind the goals and the team that has posession of the ball when a stretcher is on the field retains posession after the stretcher leaves.
I also like the idea of the boundary throw ins being 10m inside the boundary.
Leave the rule fiddling to the NAB cup and introduce a cap on how many rules can be changed per season.Comment
