Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

    8. Fantastic this year. Lifted the team a number of times, his disposal was much improved, and he retained the hardness and tenacity that he has always had. Jude at just about his best.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

A fine vintage. Dare I say improving with age?
      Thought he was great.

            6.

Which is probably six more points than I gave him last year.
Almost back to his "old" form.
Hopefully he can keep up the good run next year.

Very good season from the hard at it on baller and 'dare I say' was a little more accurate kicking for goal.

Really good season. Stuck it up me and quite a few others, which was great to see.

Fantastic in the second half of the year, which is what we all tend to remember.

                Gave him a 7.

7 alone from the 2nd WCE game where he kicked the winning goal against the West Coke Eagles.

                    8/10

From someone who has bagged B1 in the past and even considered him to be traded at the end of 2007 as the right move for the club, I've eaten my fair share of humble pie as B1 has proved me wrong (like McVeigh) and had a great season.

On many instances he lifted when the team needed to lift (like Kirky), his disposals were more effective and applied good tackling pressure in the midfield. In terms of stats compared to 2007, his disposals (avg. 19.8 in 2008 vs. 17.9 in 2007), marks (3.5 vs. 2.9) and tackles (6.0 vs. 4.8) were up and there were only a couple of occasions where he was quiet. He also came 3rd in total tackles and tackles per game (equal with Lenny Hayes) for 2008 which is a great achievement for the midfielder.

His consistency in disposal count and tackling has improved and on most occasions he was one of the better players after bad losses. His highlights include 30 disposals, 2 goals & 10 inside-50s against Fremantle, 29 disposals against Collingwood, 26 disposals against Carlton, 25 disposals against Port Adelaide, 11 tackles against Western Bulldogs, 10 tackles against North Melbourne and his performance against West Coast that consisted of 9 tackles, 8 inside-50s and 2 goals including the matchwinner in a come-from-behind thriller.

He's much needed in the Swans midfield and hopefully has another consistent season, tackles aplenty, gets a bit more of the ball and kick a few more goals.

                      8.

Great year for Jude. Best year that I can remember from him. Lifted when others around him wilted.

8/10 I was impressed with the way Jude got back to his 2005 form. Sometimes the club giving a player a kick up the bum (by threatening to trade a player) can do wonders. I am glad that it did for Jude.

                          8 from me.

I was disappointed with last year's effort, and loved this year's. Worked hard. And effectively. Good lad.

8/10 he does not stop trying, even though he gets outclassed sometimes, just gets on with it. He puts his melon over the ball and does the hard work. gotta love that
