It will only be one though.

If we win we play either Adelaide at AAMI or Geelong at Skilled.

We are the biggest tankers in the pre-season, the only chance of winning is if Port also decide to tank it and the better tanker will emerge triumphant.

Wouldnt it be the worst tanker of the two would emerge triumphant- because the best tanker would have still managed to lose?

Pity I wont be in the country, would of been good to have another game at Manuka for the year. But against Port boooo even if it is only pre season comp I still hate them!

I was hoping we would be a regular fixture at Aurora Stadium. Oh well maybe the home ground advantage will get us over the line for our first win in, is it 72 years?

We really should have a reserves forum for stuff like this.

My 9 year old son was aged 2 when Sydney last won a Pre Season competition game, way way back in 2002. He consequently has no memory of the Swans ever winning a Pre Season competition game.

Please Roosy, can we just win ONE game next year. Please!!

Why is it that Collingwood whinge about travelling through the season proper, but are happy to travel anywhere for the "Practice Match Cup"?

How many times have we played Port Adelaide in any preseason game, seems like every year or every second year?

Port posted a record loss for the last year, plus they tend to be one of the "proud" clubs, so I can't see them tanking this match. They'd like a second round match against Adelaide at Football Park.

                        Road trip.

I hope I actually get invited to the summernats wedding this year, rather than just witnessing the bride and groom being pulling over by the coppers for doing donuts in leafy Manuka!

G'day Top40. I was 9 when South won the preseason GF in 1981 (or 1980). Still remember Barry Round holding up the cup out at Waverley. Was one of lifes football highlights for me until 2005.

Hope for your sons sake we do win a few pre-seasons game.

I was there too, it was 1982, and it was a night comp, not a pre-season comp. That was when all home and away games were played during the day. Always remember it with fondness, I couldn't talk for a couple of days I was so hoarse!!!

Once again I don't get the thinking of the AFL. This year more than ever, they want new people to get into watching AFL. There's a freebie game on and instead of scheduling it in Sydney and making a big deal to get people along - they put it in Canberra. I don't get it!
