I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

              He didn't get picked up??????

I'm really pissed off and disappointed that he didn't get picked up

Now I have to read about how Paul Roos and the Sydney Swans Leadership group hung drawn and quartered poor old Nick

Thanks very much you blasted AFL clubs!!!!

I disagree. It actually vindicates their decision. The fact that Brisbane came to the same conclusion after having a look at him means that maybe the Swans know a little bit more about footy than most of us on here.

It's a shame because when he wants to be he is a marvellous footballer
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

It was always going to be tough for him to get picked up, I'm not sure it vindicates a decision made by the club.

One saucer of milk to the outer please.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Bye Nick. Cant say I'm sorry to see you go. And now you dont have a job playing footy, I'll be interested to see whether you can do anything else.

He can always help his father host the away games down at the Cross.
                        He can't do the aftermatch ... that's Bradley's gig.

                          No Trade.
                          No Draft.
Even Benny with his "issues" got a gig.

                          Makes you wonder.

Many of the comments on this thread also make me wonder. They make me wonder how many people that post here have actually played competitive football at any level. The hatred towards someone, without whom we would still be waiting for a premiership. Unbelievable.

True, I imagine Davo wouldn't have a shot at all in making a second division AFL Queensland team

Ignoring that he even helped the team, I just don't get people having hatred for their fellowman. He's a guy I'm sure the majority of the posters here don't know personally (me included) who has a mortgage, is expecting his first child and has just found himself out of a career he's dedicated the last decade of his life to a few years short of when he would have liked to stop.

Like him or not, I'm not sure it's overly classy to enjoy the situation he finds himself in.
