People whose memberships have gone up... Are you renewing?

Finally getting around to posting my poll

In the membership prices thread, there is a general sense of discontentment but I would like to get an idea as to what percentage of people in various situations are going to sign up again.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Note - this is for the categories that have jumped up in price.

I am renewing my gold concourse membership, but will enclose a letter to the club voicing my dis-satisfaction with the price rise.

The people who post on here are the hard-core who will cop the increases. It's the people who don't post on here who are more likely to disappear. I'm expecting plenty more empty seats in the concourse next season and <20,000 crowds for several games.

See my post in the membership prices thread NL - it's now Silver for you.

Had Silver last year, renewed at Silver this year...3 sports team, 3 season tickets, and Swans are now most expensive of the lot ..
          $300 for the Swans
          $280 for Parramatta
          $190 for Central Coast Mariners
          Premiers 09,18,33,05

Even though the price has gone up I am keeping the same seats because:

            1) Love the Swans
            2) Love our seats
            3) It is my wife and my joint hobby so happy to spend the money on something we both love.

Not renewing, don't like the fact it took complaining for the club to realise that they were making a mistake and hopefully this will get their investment banker heads out of their arses. They've been overcharging us for average facilities and terrible seats for years. Might come back in a few years.

Perhaps consider relocating to the new facilities in the Victor Trumper Stand or concourse?

I've already reallocated 2x membership funds to other things now, but maybe next year. I'll try and sit in that area if I go to games as a one-off and see what the view is like, and if its worth the price.

My son and I are in Platinum. Same seats since 1997. We will renew but it is rough as we get charged more for our seat and then have to suffer poor food/expensive drinks and very poor counter service.

Looks like home made sandwiches and hip flask are the go.

I'm renewing my Platinum stand seat but Premiership Club will have to go. Not so much because of the cost but because my three Sydney based mates are a little shocked at the current price of the tickets and want to save the dosh (and the last week of sep is a long way away). In my eyes the price of the tickets pale into insignificance compared to actually getting to all the games from Canberra but no-one likes their loyalty to be abused or to be taken for a mug.

I'm going to gamble my $85 saving on the Swans making the grand final at ten to one odds to keep things interesting

Dont know if this counts or not on this thread but my vic based membership has gone up from $150 to $159, the only difference is that I still get to go to 3 games in Sydney, but it used to be only at ANZ stadium, now I am allowed to go to games at the S.C.G., which is good, much prefer that than ANZ.
