    Collingwood sacks cheer squad

Collingwood cheer squad fanatics sacked, told to reapply | Herald Sun

Interesting. How much is it to join the Swans cheer squad?, surely not anywhere near what the pies are asking....

So I'm guessing Joffa got the axe!
It was only a matter of time before the magpies cleaned up their act.

Joffa is the only one that didn't get the axe apparently.

If Joffa's banned from coming to ANZ Stadium, I'm happy.

However, I don't think Joffa will be sacked. It's just not Collingwood without that feral.

Joffa is actually an employee of the Collingwood Football club - I thought the article was hilarious - and some of the comments too. As one mentioned, I wonder if membership comes with Free Dental? As for Joffa - well the sooner someone burns that bloody gold sequined jacket the better. But I find it hard to fathom that they claim to be the "battlers" club have state of the art facilities at an establishment called "The Lexus Centre" its a bit contrary dont you think?
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Not to mention the altitude training and the private jet flight across the Nullarbor.

How's this for corporate-speak? I thought cheer squads were just for fun.
club membership director Justin Reeves confirmed all cheer squad positions had been advertised.

He said the club wanted to ensure it had the best cheer squad in the AFL.
On the other hand, if ever a club needed to sack it's supporters, it's the black & whites.

Hilarious story. Best thing I've read all week.

I wonder if, for those who make the cut, whether they get a chauferred Lexus to and from games - I mean these are the elite cheerers afterall.

Maybe they can pick up some quality supporters in the draft.

Nah, Shaw and Didak chauffer them.

Way way too formalised and officiated. Ripe for a breakaway unofficial cheer squad.

They used to have one in the 70's, they were actually better than the official cs. But...they would sit in the outer, next to the visting cs. It was scary!
