Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Seven (7) - showed why he won the Mulrooney Medal (B&F ACTAFL). A very pleasing all year effort with proviso that he was "tagged" in the latter stages. I expect that he will be all the better for this season.
Moore finally gets the chance to show his worth on a regular basis and did pretty well, but consistency will need to be improved for him to have a big impact in 2009. He managed to play all but 1 game this year, a much greater opportunity compared to playing 5 games in 2005, 2 in 2006 and 2 in 2007.
His stats are alright for a player who had limited opportunity in the senior level prior to this season, averaging 14.2 disposals, 2.7 marks, 1.1 goals and 2.9 tackles. Highlights include against Brisbane (22 disposals, 4 goals, 2 behinds, 6 tackles), Adelaide (21 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles), Western Bulldogs (20 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles) and Port Adelaide (19 disposals, 3 goals, 2 behinds). However, there were times where he had ordinary and quiet games, especially if we used as forward pocket but there were times that he performed when he had limited opportunities eg. 4 goals with only 7 disposals against the Dogs in the Semi Final.
I'm expecting big things for Moore next year. It'll be interested to see if he plays in the midfield or forward pocket most of the time or alter every now and them like he did this year.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore
Something to like about this young man. Slowed a little at the end of the year but I think he is good value. Honest player and consistent, with a feeling he could be around for a long time.
If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhood
I reckon he deserves much more than a 7 if rated against what could reasonably have been expected of a player coming in with barely a dozen games to his name. He had a very strong claim of being BOG in several games (the second Brisbane game and the Port game) and was instrumental in several other wins. You generally don't expect that from players so inexperienced at senior footy, even if they have the solid build that Moore has.
I personally thought he was overated by some as Canberra footy is well, lets just leave it there.
Finally got some regular senior footy into him and he was exceptional.
The Port game was his break out game when he finally believed he was a Senior AFL Footballer and did some pretty special things that day
Needs to sharpen up his goal kicking though as he missed far to many for mine when we really needed them.
Also he must now learn to shake a tag better than he did this year.

A solid season for Moorey with a reward of 5 brownlow votes.I hope he gets in a really good preseason and builds up the motor so he can play in the midfield a bit more. He's very strong and holds his feet well.A big improvement in 2008!
Good season especially given he was on the cusp of being delisted a year ago. Needs to improve his kicking for goal, swans could have finished in the top 4, if he didn't spray those crucial ones in a coupla games.
