We Are Officially the Most Irish Team

No other team has more than two O'Somethings on their list...we have 4

    O'Dwyer, M
    O'Keefe, D
    O'Keefe, R
    O'Loughlin, M

Add to that the strong rumour we wanted a key position O'Keefe (Nathan?) with our third pick in this year's draft.

Also we have 3 other real Irish lads (no other team has more than 2, I believe)

    Kennelly, T
    Murphy, B
    Coney, K

No wonder there was talk of a Sydney Shamrocks team

Looks like its time for me to go through the lists and find the most common first names..its that time of year.

Will it be Matthew yet again?

And yet probably the most Irish of the 'O' brigade - Irish connection is as recent as a grandfather, IIRC.

                      Ahh, of course.

Bevo must have a bit of Irish in him then.

What part of MOL is Irish. That is surely drawing a very long bow.

We've also got a McVeigh, a Brabazon and a Buchanan (OK, that is more often Scottish, but it is still fairly common in Ireland).
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
