5 from me. Thought he improved in '08. Needs to show a little more urgency but I thought he was stiff to get dropped for the finals.Bloods

5/10
He's improved from last year, shown greater awareness and could be a very useful KP defender in the future if he's no longer required in the forward line.
His stats have improved in disposals (avg. 13.8 in 2008 vs. 6.4 in 2007), marks (4.9 vs. 2.6) and slightly on tackles (1.6 vs. 1.4) but needs to give away less free kicks. Out of the 10 games he's played, only twice has he had less than 10 disposals. Highlights include against Collingwood (21 disposals, 8 marks, 4 tackles), Adelaide (18 disposals, 5 marks) and Brisbane (17 disposals, 7 marks).
If he's to become the key defender we're looking for, he'll have to improve in tagging his direct partner. He's doing better than last year when it comes to the backline but I think more can be done.I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Would of given him a 4 but he probably didn't get the same opportunities as some. If he's played in his most effective position (fwd), he'll impress more. Having him in the back line is a waste.Comment

Showed what I thought was a marked improvement in pace, stamina and urgency in 2008, as opposed to 07. I was as critical of him as anybody by the end of 07, but now I reckon he might have what it takes to make his mark in the forward line. I don't think he has much future as a defender, however.
Anyway, I gave him a 6. Based on his 2008 form, he's in our best 22, as a HFF.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

Slow and lacks footy smarts.
Surprised he made the cut."As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.Comment

I like him.
I think he'll be a very good player.
Do people forget how long it takes a KPP to develop since this club hasn't actually done that in years? (Other than LRT who no-one likes either.)Comment

I agree. I am very very confident that 2009 will be a break out year for Reg. I think he can play forward or back, but I actually prefer him in a Josh Hunt type role in the backline. He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment

4 from me. For some reason he irritates the hell out of me. He rarely seems all that interested in the game, if he ever gets dropped from the squad I have the impression he would say, yeah? So whose buying the beer.
So Reg, its up to you to prove me wrong in 2009.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment
