Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

The 1 third from the top - that makes it an 8.

That's funny! Has Connolly been taking to hospital to get his gasket fixed?

I'm giving him an 8 too.

          9.

Would of been 10 except that he gives away so many STUPID free kicks. Other than that, not much else he could of done. A real break out year for him as a player.

Break out year and made heaps on here look silly.
Great mark in the Fremantle game when it was needed and 6th place in the BF put the full stop on what was a sensational season for Bevo

                8/10

For his role in the side, he did a much, much better job than in previous years and it's about time too. Managed to play every game this year and was pretty consistent in his performances down back, not necessarily getting much of the ball but doing the 1%ers and tackling pressure.

In terms of stats, his disposals have increased (avg. 13.1 vs. 11.9) with effectiveness improved, marks up a bit (5.2 vs. 4.9) and tackles more (3.6 vs. 2.1). For most of the year, his role in the backline has been vital but there are times when him and others fail to deliver. This time around, he wasn't the serial offender.

Highlights include against Fremantle (20 disposals, 5 marks including the match saver and 6 tackles), St. Kilda (20 disposals, 5 marks), Western Bulldogs (18 disposals, 8 marks, 1 goal, 2 behinds, 5 tackles), Carlton (17 disposals, 4 marks, 2 goals, 3 behinds, 3 tackles), Geelong (17 disposals, 10 marks, 1 goal, 3 tackles) and Hawthorn (16 disposals, 10 marks, 3 tackles).

He's done more than enough to keep his place in the side and hopefully he can be more consistent in disposals, decision making and tackle more next year in the backline or midfield.

8 - A very solid season from a much improved player during 2008. Let's hope he keeps improving during '09.

Good call undies. Have managed to avoid the dysfunctionally dangerous health (sick) system for the time being. Couldn't avoid Telstra though. Had a tsunami of bewildering technical connectivity difficulties with the internet for the last two weeks. A young smart arse fixed the problem in literally ten minutes. And just in the nick of time to vote in the big one.

This is the season when the Bevanator shook off the chains of self doubt and shrugged away a gaggle of Bevophobes and transformed a brooding potential into a all singing and dancing sparkling performance. His Beversatility delighted his growing legion of admirers with a sumptuous smorgasboard of skills, the full menu of roles on display. Authorative quarterback, mettlesome defender, unflinching in the pack and adaminitine in the tackle. Took screamers up front (v Port Adelaide) and at the back ( v Fremantle), tackled mercilessly (introduced the dual tackle into the game) and bowelless against hapless opponents. Simply superbevo - a nine.

                            You left out "pivot".

In the words of Jack Dyer, he is only ever going to be "a good ordinary footballer". 5/10
