    I just did the unthinkable

Hey everyone, I just did the unthinkable, I went into enemy territory, I went to the Hawthorn football club's merchandise shop at Glenferrie oval to purchase some baby hawk gear for my nephew. I said to my brother-in-law(hawk supporter), that if I dont see any hawk gear on young Peter by his 1st birthday, then I am buying him some swans gear. Well, we had grand final day at my place this year( I got the T.V. set you see), and sure enough the baby had a hawks scarf on him. So for his first christmas I went and bought him some Hawks gear. I have to say, they were low on stock and pretty busy at the time of my visit, I guess winning a premiership will do that to a club. In the end I just purchased what I could get my hands on and got the hell out of dodge.

Brave person...have you automatically turned into a Liberal voter now that you have been into that electorate area.

Couldn't you have claimed that they were all sold out and bought him some Swans gear instead?

I always feel strange when I am buying footy stuff for the non-Swans supporting members of the family. It just doesn't feel right.

I had my photo taken with the 2008 premiership cup, hawthorn ribbons and all....definitely didn't feel right...

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I had to buy a poos & wees granny win DVD for my "premium swans-member" poos & wees-loving bestie.

At least his bigger $$'s outlay (of a membership) comes to us.

last night at the staff dinner we had to get an outfit for another staff member to wear. The first year out cheeky brat who drew my name put together a Hawthorn outfit for me to wear.

I felt ill having to have it against my skin. Today I wore a swans guernsey to cleanse the system. Plus it ties in with christmas colours.

I have 3 mates who are also Swans premium members who aren't Swans fans. There's one crow, one saints and one dockers supporter, who all call the Swans their 2nd team. But they don't really have the passion for the Swans as they do their own teams.

I wonder how many interstate ex-pats Swans members there are that aren't supporters.
