Would of preferred Johnston to get 4 so we had a key forward in that number again but it doesn't really matter.

Always good to see a key forward go the number 23 (Dermie, Buddy...anyone else come to mind?)

For those interested I have made a word doc of the 2009 numbers with former players (well, those that I can remember since becoming a keen supporter in 1998) out to the right...also I have noted all the players who have changed numbers and what they used to be

                - or as Big Jule says in Guys and Dolls...

"These are my special dices, I had the spots taken off for luck, but I remember where dey formerly was (he throws) .....seven"

                Nathan - "Is that a 4 & 3 or a 5 & 2?"

                Big Jule - "Either way"

Who remembered that ROK, MOL and NOG used to have different numbers?

You do realise there is a whole section of RWO devoted to player numbers?

"famously worn by Spider Everitt in 2007-8".

Fairly loose use of the word "famously" I would have thought.

"Infamously", perhaps? Meh, he was a cult figure by the end of it. Great in 2007, injured in 2008, unfortunately got here a year too late, but was still very dedicated, and there is little doubt he would have had a fantastic influence on Currie and Orreal, and even Jolly.

He's more likely to kick 150 points in a season.

Don't know if this has already been posted.

                              Shaw got # 2.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
