Magic to play on beyond 09?

Well, it's a possibility according to this article

I think last season was a reasonable year and I believe that as long as I'm producing on the field and living by our team's rules, there's no reason why I can't play another year or two. The coaching department is happy for me to take it year by year. One thing I'm really proud of is the way I've been able to come back from injuries and play at a high level ? At the moment I'm enjoying it, the guys keep me young and I've been very blessed. Retiring is the furthest thing from my mind.
Fingers crossed he can stay injury free in 2009 and continue with the form he's showed over the last couple of seasons.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

If he can stay injury free, I would think in playing the role he plays (ie third forward) there is at least another year in him.

I hope he can stay on longer than 2009, if he doesn't get injured again. At this stage, I'm looking forward to his 300th game.

            Coleman

The leaping Lizard is a smokey for the Coleman medal in 2009?

If this occurs he may well be the first player in history to snag the Coleman, Browlow and Norm Smith all the same year...

He then can go in peace.....

I'd love to see him stay on. I think it's a question of whether the performances actually continue to come.

I think a highly underrated trait in a pro athlete is knowing when time has gotten the best of you. If Micky knows when this time comes, he's welcome as long as he likes.

FTR I think he does have a couple of years left in him IF (and it's a big if) he stays injury free.

I originally thought that micky would of retired after the 05 win! 3 years down the track he's still going strong. Keep going micky, we need ya!
