Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Having said that though, the Baulkham Hills Council have been extremely cooperative in getting what we (the East Coast Eagles) now have. Their further considerable input for tomorrow's match was unexpected, but is very welcome. They are as keen as mustard to have this game in their own patch.
Right from the start of negotiations with them back in 1996 (yes, it has taken that long) we suggested to them that "if we build it right, the Swans may come".
I'd shudder to think how long it would have taken if the BHC were not cooperative.

The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news
The AFL would not have permitted the match to proceed unless all of Jill Lindsay's requirements were met.
One of which is that football surfaces should resemble a Vietnamese rice paddy field. That clown almost single handledly ruined the 2005 final against the pussies with demands for excessive watering. Fortunately we won the game as the field dried out and what's his name - that cheeky little chap ( shocking memory for names of the nondescript) snagged a few goals at the death. She also was resaponsible for giving her imprimateur to the dangerous corporate signage that put Big Beamish out for a couple of months.
