I've just got a new dog with a really long name - Michael Barry Ryan Jarrad Jarred Jared Rhys Heath Paul Leo Craig Jude Brett Amon Darren Luke Nick Ted Henry Daniel Ed Patrick Craig Keiran Martin Adam Lewis - and before each game this year I intend to give it a real swift kick up the date and say "go get into them and smash the %%%%ers" . . .

I'm with you. I used to have Siamese Fighting Fish called Danny/Troy (gold and black), Paul (red), Tony, Jason (pale pink with attitude), a real bugger called Andrew, a glorious green one called Stuart, and I loved each and every one of them.

In 1970 I was on war service in South Vietnam. We did not get much up to date info about the footy or any news in fact. But we had a tipping comp and I tipped South Melbourne in every round. That year of course we finished 4th under Norm Smith and guess who won the uniot tipping comp ... me of course as no one else believed the mighty Bloods could keep winning.

I killed my wife's dog because I suspected it did not like Paul Kelly.

I have missed attending only 4 Swan's home games since they came to Sydney in 1982. I was 3 at the time then, do not remember the first game, however, recall most of them!

Unfortunately my cousin's wedding is this year, so I will not be able to list "declined wedding invitation and ushering duties to watch Sydney v Essendon" until 2010

And no, I haven't told her yet. Need more dutch courage

I got to the MCG at 3:45am on 24 Sep 2005.

That was a looong day, but well worth it in the end.

Hmmm.. I signed Phoebe up 6 weeks before she was born.

I missed my cousin's wedding to go to the 2005 Grand Final. Honestly, who schedules a wedding for grand final day.....

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I effectively put the house on the swans to win the 2005 premiership at 25 to 1.

But that claim doesn't belong here as that wasn't crazy but a sensible business transaction.

The Lake Oval was my favourite "parking" spot in the early 70's.

Down by the boating sheds was the best spot.
