Couldn't have put it better. Have a vague recollection of him charging through the middle of the SCG with the footy in one hand and literally picking up an opponent (possibly a Melbourne player...) who attempted to confront him head on and throwing the bloke over his shoulder.

While the stats are interesting, they certainly fail to sum up a career in this case. If ever a player should be evaluated for his 1%ers, rather than kicks, marks, goals etc. it was the Moose.Comment

I reckon he will turn out to be better than LRT....wouldn't it be nice to have another good thug that could just run through the clowns smashing them just like Lomu...can't see him kicking 1300 goals like our best thug.Moose? Is that an established nickname? He's got very big shoes to fill if he's going to go around in the red and white with a nickname like Moose...
Agree with many here that you can't compare him with Chambers.
I'd like to see him playing as much as possible. His first kick showed a real lack of experience but it also showed I think that he is prepared to have a go and can get the footy.
Maybe not too dissimilar to LRT's situation a few years back in some ways. So with that in mind I'd like to see them keep playing Pyke as long as there's improvement and hopefully selecting him will help build the confidence.Comment

well, you know I am old enough to remember him playing and he wasn't an outstanding player-more a cult figure. He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment
