    Break Out Year

We had a similar thread to this at the end of last season, now that pre season is over we are all a little more informed to who is going to have a break our year in the mould of Moore, Jack and Bird.

At the end of the season i would have bet money on Danie Currie playing all year but pre season injury has set him back

Will White find a spot forward back or in the ruck?
Wil Vezzy prove that he was worth picking up before Rioli?
    Will Grundy find his undies?
Or could DOK stay away from the doc and stay on the field?

Personaly i think Vez i certain for round 1 and is inline for 20 games this season bar injury.

White is a certain starter in round 1 though im not sure in what position i hope he can have good year and play a few games

Besides them im not really sure Maybe Grundy can hold Micky O's spot till he comes back
Maybe Meredith or may be Barlow
Or maybe DOK can prove a few people wrong

We'll break out in pimples because of the stress caused by waiting for them to win a game this year.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Ablett was great in 05. I think you need to watch the last quarter of the 05 final against Geelong as an example....and please don't mention his kick across goal in the GF....I've seen that a few times on this site....I think people have been pretty harsh on him.

It will be more valuable if someone can have a break-out year McVeigh08 style - ie an established player who can elevate himself towards the competition's very best players, or at least take a signfiicant step forward in what they give the team.

It is hard to pinpoint anyone who might step up quite like McVeigh did last year but it would be great to see someone like Grundy really start to impose himself on games. Or maybe Moore, Bird or Jack progress from being promising youngster to a key players. Or even Buchanan recapture his 2005-6 form.

Unfortunately, most of the games he's played in for the last few seasons remind me of his performance in the 2005 GF.

2008 was also the year of the Bevobreak out. The kid stepped up to be our most versitile player and one of our top defenders. If Roosey lets him off the chain this year he will take it up to another level.
