You'll have to wait a bit longer for it than us down South!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

              !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Channel Seven just do not get it, do they. Hide this away at 11am on a Sunday into Sydney!!!!!

Pathetic treatment of Sydney and Brisbane, again. Still. When will they learn.

It was great. Just as well I can get copies to my friends who were unaware it was on.....oh, did you mean it was advertised? REally......ggrrrrrrr

Highlight of it was showing the foulmouth Pies CS giving it to BBBBH, and Hall signalling to them to cut it out.
Then the message comes up about the CS having to apply for their memberships for the CS.. PMSL

Yes, that was the best bit by far! Loved it!

I was a little disappointed with the editing but it did a pretty good job of capturing the essence of the game which is ultimately the passion of those who are involved with it. Would have loved to have seen more of the Peace Team. Liked the segment with Kieren Jack speaking to the youngsters about to play Auskick on the SCG. Having the legends speak to the new draftees outside the MCG also worked pretty well.

Oh... and it had too much Hawthorn.

There's too much of Hawthorn everywhere at the moment.

Re Hawthorn: I couldn't agree more, it must be worse for you guys down in Victoria, it was bad enough Jeff was on the ABC sports program this morning going on about his love for the Hawks and how wonderful they are... so he's passionate about his team, yes they're a good side, we get that, okay? Grr.

I thought it was very good - they covered pretty much all facets. I loved the kid from NT with the bright red boots - when he kicked his goal for Ivanhoe and saw the reaction from his mate, I teared up. Good to see some of the international rules. Some of the score lines were hilarious, but I reckon the whole month of the competition would have been a bit of a hoot. As for Jonathon Brown, be still my beating heart!!! now there is a bloke with the lot, and a future in the media. He speaks quite well (Ok a few elocution lessons wouldnt go astray) and he's mighty fine to look at too.

My fav part was the kid who would get into his Richmond gear to have a kick out the back with his dad, with the headlights from the car for lighting. Seeing the enthusiasm and the laughter of a kid is just something special.

I guess the thing that came through is that no matter the level of football, it comes down to the camaraderie and sense of belonging to a family that comes from playing for your team.
