    Round 1 - St.Kilda

Well, here we go again. I've still got the spreadsheet from last year, so why not? Especially as more than a quarter of this season's fixtures are the same as last year.

From what I hear, the Saints have not exactly set the world on fire with their pre-season. But neither have we. I went to the match at Rouse Hill and liked what I saw against the Bulldogs - especially in the first half - but then we fell into the same old bad habits against the Crows.

I just can't see us beating the Saints at home. Hope I'm wrong.

THAT might not be too far from the truth, if recent history is anything to go by...

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

They reckon Zac Dawson will get the job on BBBBH, so we may get a goal or two, unless young Zac has improved dramatically.
        No Hudgton, or Macguire

So you think BBBH will lead the goal kicking after round 1?

i voted us for a win but i wouldn't be suprised if we get a 54 all draw ala "the worst game in history" in 02.

I think we can get over the line. Riewoldt cant be match fit, he has played just one PS game! Hudgton is a huge loss for them, (of course we have our injury concerns though) If Hall can get on top aswell as goodes, kirk and co, that might be enough. Swans by 7 points

I reckon we're a good chance. Can't believe the Saints are so short ($1.30) given their injuries and ordinary pre-season.

Hall should have a field day, you'd reckon. Hudgton out is huge as he normally does a good job on him.

Swans by a goal or two.

I've gone out on a limb and said 20 points plus. I think this will be an un-Swanlike season. We will get off to a great start and limp into the finals - or just miss out. Too many young bodies and too many old bodies to really go the distance.

                        10 to 19, with a win.

At least I hope so as I am going down (from the Mountains!), and have found it is Grand Prix weekend, which makes Melbourne a much less pleasant place.

Really dont know who will win.

Both have had at best average pre season form and both have key players not available or simply havent had much game time to date.
Hopefully wont get what we got last year and we get the points this time.

                          Swans by 15 though !
