I did that to my ankle last year ... extremely painful and his foot will be quite weak for a while but it does heal fully and shouldn't be an ongoing problem.

Thanks Alison - that's a sort of good news. And although he will miss the experience of the twos, I don't think we would have seen him in the firsts this season anyway, at least not as a KPP. Let him concentrate on recovery, thorough recovery.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
The official list has no real news. Although the fact that Playfair is still 'indefinite' says for my money that he will make only a token impact in 2009, if any.
Unfortunately, with the senior list being 4-7 players down in 2010 from what it was come 1 January 2009 regardless of any choices made by the club (adding to the existing Fosdike and Kennelly, Leo Barry and Jared Crouch as IMO definites), the chance of Playfair being shown the door ain't high.
Injury update:
Crouch to play one or two more games in seconds.
Leo to return to twos possibly this week, most likely the week after.
Bird out against Geelong, back for the West Coast game in round 8.
Luke Ablett a shoulder injury - test
I get peeved off with The Sunday Footy show as The Doc (Larkins) goes through all the injuries at each club but rarely mentions the Swans unless it's a very big injury to a very big name. It's very disappointing as it seemes they couldn't give a fat rats clacker about us!

when do the melb media give a rats about the swans especially any of the channel nine footy shows..
When do we ever see any of our boys on the panel.
I noticed that Tim Schmidt has gone from 1 week status last week to indefinite this week. I wonder what happened. I was thinking that he might get a run in the Ressies this week. Indefinite sounds so far away.

Yeah - estimated return is next pre-season. Seems a hell of a long time for a knee which isn't an ACL injury.
