Wow, this is so depressingWe manage to get a real gem of a kid and already his development for 2009 is screwed. What's the news on Bird?

Poor Brett-lite. That is such sad news. He must be devastated. No wonder he was Mr Sad on the bench.Comment

12 weeks for a broken arm - what happened? Normally after a broken bone you'd expect 6-7 weeks. Terrible luck for the young fella. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Terrible luck for the kid, but realistically he had a real good taste of it and now knows what he needs to work on and what to expect in the big time. If he had been killing them in the 2's and was just about to be picked in the seniors it would have been devastating, but as it has played out, he had his chance to impress, did just that and will be a much better player in the years to come because of it.
A broken arm is unlikely to cause him problems down the track, if it was his shoulder again it would have been a real worry.
It opens up a chance for a Laidlaw, Smith or Thornton to get another taste of it and in a few years it may prove to be a blessing in disguise.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

Just when Laidlaw should be pushing hard for the seniors....his timing is way off...glad he is not a stand up comedian for a living."The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

Great to see Timmy is a chance to return. Hopefully he can have a couple of weeks in the ressies and then return to the firsts. I think he should be given every chance to show what he can do because he's a smart footballer and can use the football too.Comment
